Former American stockbroker and current motivational speaker Jordan Belfort—the self-styled “Wolf of Wall Street” who was the subject of a recent film by Martin Scorsese—has landed in Iceland.

Jordan will be giving an afternoon lecture at Háskólabíó tomorrow during which he will talk about “what you should be doing right now, in your own life to achieve success, and also what pitfalls to avoid, to make sure you do it the right way.” During the lecture, he will also outline his “Straight Line Sales Psychology” method.

“I just want to say how excited I am to be coming to Iceland,” Jordan stated in a video promo about the event. “It’s my first time being there and I have to say what I know about the country and about the challenges you guys have faced over the last five or six years, I really believe that my message—in the sense that it doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life, what mistakes have been made, by other people even, that are affecting you…there are always these reasons why you can say it’s impossible to achieve, it’s impossible to get the things I want in life.

But I’m a firm believer—and I think I stand as living proof—that no matter what you’ve done in your life, you can always put one foot in front of the other and focus on certain strategies, certain tactics that allow you to essentially take any vision that you want, any passion that you have, and turn that into a business, and essentially to monetize it. I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t matter where you are, you can always get to that spot where you want to be.”

His talk at Háskolabíó is one of several stops that Jordan will be making during his 2014 World Tour.
