In a recent study analysing Icelandic food habits it was revealed that 41% of women feel guilty after eating candy, only half as many men suffered the same, reports RÚV.
The study, conducted by the Directorate of Health, found many other worrying differences in women and men’s relationship with food in general.
More men (58%) were happy with their eating habits than women (54%), even though more women (87%) made a conscious effort to eat healthy food than men (72%).
More women (41%) have attempted to lose weight in the last year than men (28%) and almost half of women (45%) are unhappy with their weight compared to a third of men.
On a positive not however, both genders are great at eating breakfast. Over 70% of men and over 80% of women make sure to eat the most important meal of the day, every day.
