Published November 19, 2013

The young man known in Icelandic media as “Siggi Hacker” has been convicted of sexual assault against a 17 year old boy.

Sigurður Ingi Þórðarson was sentenced in Reykjanes District Court to eight months in prison and ordered to pay the victim 800,000 ISK, DV.is reports.

He was found guilty of having deceived the victim into, among other things, performing oral sex, in the summer of 2012. The boy reported the assault in August 2012.

Sigurður Ingi, or “Siggi Hacker,” is well known for his affiliation with WikiLeaks, having been sued by the whistleblower organization for fraud and theft.

He has a history of theft and fraudulent activities and has claimed that he was an FBI informant while volunteering for WikiLeaks.

He told his side of the story to Grapevine earlier this year.
