From Iceland — Nuk Reunited With Owner

Nuk Reunited With Owner

Published September 26, 2013

The Danish cat, Nuk, who went missing from a private plane at the Reykjavík Domestic Airport earlier this week has been found and is now happily reunited with her owner, Susanne Alsing.
The search for Nuk was carried out by the Reykjavík Air-Ground Rescue Team and began early Tuesday morning. Nuk was supposed to stay on the plane as she was in transit, but the owner left the plane door slightly open and the cat managed to get out. This caused a panic for authorities, as the cat did not meet proper health requirements to be imported into the country legally.
The 100,000 ISK will not be awarded to anyone, as the owner managed to find the cat herself. “I found her right under a hangar here at the airport,” Alsing tells The Grapevine. “She is alright now and I am very happy.”
