Iceland’s Eurovision entry, Never Forget, has apparently been a hit with fans as far afield as Mexico.
Last night, Iceland was able to make it to the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan. Jónsi and Greta Salome will be the seventh act on stage this Saturday night.
While Icelanders celebrated the result at home, fans around the world were apparently impressed enough with the song to try versions of their own.
Two Mexican girls by the names of Yaghia and Michelle have done their own karaoke version of the song, as has a girl from Sweden named Ida. Although it is common for YouTube singers to do Eurovision covers, Iceland is not a typical choice; least of all in the semi-finals.
