Stuff We Like!

We like comedy and laughing. Good thing there’s a stand-up comedy festival in town, and some of it is in English. Long may we laugh.
Yup. Stand-up comedy, with a special Xmas theme. For an entire, international comedy festival. This might prove interesting yet. The Iceland Christmas Comedy Festival promises lots of laughs and Xmas themed (we can only assume) comedy mayhem courtesy of the University of Southampton Comedy Society (yes, those guys are at it again!) and presenter Rökkvi Vésteinsson. Those unfamiliar with the Southampton Comedy Society might recognise key members such as Adam Kent, Becky Maclean, Jilna Shukia and Martin Talbot. If you do not, then take our word that they’re probably pretty funny. They did perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and all – there’s usually some pretty funny stuff going on there.
The troupe is appearing TONIGHT at Batteríið (it used to be called Organ and is situated right next to Bakkus and Sódóma). But that’s not all. This is an entire comedy festival after all.
So catch English speaking performances at Kaffi Kúltúra tomorrow night (Wednesday) and in Akranes and Selfoss over the coming weekend. Check out the full events schedule and more at their Facebook site.
