Yeah, I said it. It can’t be unsaid. Kex Hostel is having Scottish week, which is being celebrated the weekend after Robbie Burns Night, a holiday which celebrates the life and work of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns.
Kex Hostel’s Scottish Week features whiskey tasting, Haggis and Turnips, Lamb Stew, and of course the only musical instrument that originated as psychological warfare, the bagpipes.
Bagpipes are best enjoyed at distance, but now you can enjoy them periodically throughout a night only a few metres from your table! Nothing recharges a conversation more than the occasional auditorial white-out, where your head becomes imprisoned in a painfully loud indecipherable noise prison.
Also, much of the Kex Hostel staff already has their hair done like Braveheart extras. The kilts seem like a natural addition to their hairy, beardy heads.
Festivities start everyday at 18:00 with the last day this Saturday, January 30.
