A day of connecting to place hosted by The Nordic House and their current exhibit, the travelling container project Anersaaq. The day begins at 17:00 with a workshop in the Children’s Library. Children and youth are invited to make drawings about their hometown and to paint their own slide! They will be part of the outdoor installation on the 14th September.
At 20:00 Karen Thastum from the group Tura Ya Moya, initiator of Anersaaq, will present parts of her film Sermersaaq Saga. The film gives insight into the projects main thesis: telling a story about „spirit of place,“ rooted in Tinit in East Greenland. Anersaaq is a 20 feet Art container, travelling around Scandinavia and Greenland. After the talk the installation will be projected onto the Nordic House from 20:30-midnight. Tonight and tomorrow only!
