The latest poll from Gallup shows that while the Centre Party, the Socialist Party and the Leftist-Greens have increased their support, the Social Democrats have seen a decline. Most other parties stayed relatively steady between polls.

According to the poll results, the parties in the ruling coalition—the Leftist-Greens, the Independence Party and the Progressive Party—saw a modest rise in support in the poll, conducted on February 29, from the previous poll, conducted on January 31. The Leftist-Greens went from 10.5% to 11.9%; the Independence Party went from 21.6% to 22%; while the Progressive Party went from 7.8% to 7%.

Where other parties are concerned, the Centre Party went from 12.5% to 14.2%. At the same time, the Social Democrats went from 17.7% to 14.8%. Meanwhile, the Socialist Party went from 3.4% to 5%.

The Reform Party held remarkably steady, staying at 10.3% between polls. The People’s Party saw no significant difference, going from 4.2% to 4%, and the Pirate Party went from 11.5% to 10.7%.

Barring some political crisis, Iceland’s next parliamentary elections will be held in 2021.
