Young people in Iceland who have an interest in learning the hip-hop arts will now have their chance at last.

Reykjavík Cultural Cypher has announced on their Facebook page that they are looking for participants between the ages of 16 and 20 to take part in their five-day hip-hop summer camp, and have posted an application to that effect. Most encouraging of all, the event is free, “like the best things in life”, as they put it.

Judging by the application, this summer camp offers a host of hip-hop arts on offer, including rapping, DJing, poetry, street art and much more.

Hosted by the organisation Reykjavík Rhizome, the camp will run from June 24th to 28th, and will be held from 14:30-20:00 in the youth centre Tían, Rofabær 30, Reykjavík 110. All interested parties need do is fill out and submit an application.
