Vegans and those curious about veganism alike are welcome to attend this Saturday’s Vegan Festival in Hafnarfjörður.

In an announcement sent to the press last night, festival organisers say there will be grilled vegan food on offer, for those already vegan and also for those who are curious about vegan food. The festival is more than just a giant barbecue, though, as there will also be a chance to learn more about the philosophy behind veganism.

To highlight this aspect, none other than Honey LaBronx will be in attendance to give a talk on veganism and minority rights. Musicians Sóley and Bróðir Big will also be performing.

The fun begins at Thorsplani, the central town square in Hafnarfjörður, at 14:00. Honey’s talk will be held at the same time on Sunday, at the restaurant Gló in Fákafeni. Admission is free, but prospective attendees are encouraged to show up early.
