Icelandair flight attendants signed a new collective bargaining agreement yesterday and have therefore cancelled a short strike due to take place today, reports RÚV.

The deal was signed after a strenuous 26 hour long negotiation meeting and will be valid until August 2015.

The agreement details have not been made public yet but marks the end of Icelandair’s contract negotiations with both pilots and flight attendants. This leaves the mechanics though Icelandair spokesperson, Guðjón Arngrímsson, is confident they will be able to negotiate with them without disrupting air travel.
