Known as Þrettándinn, or “the thirteenth,” in Iceland, January 6th is the last day of Christmas and will be celebrated at a festival in Vesturbær tonight starting at 6:00 PM.

The festivities will begin at the KR Football Stadium with some seasonal songs and then participants will parade over to Ægissíða for a bonfire, which will be lit at 6:30 PM. A firework display will follow at 7:00. Cocoa and kleinur (Icelandic pastries) will be on sale for extra added cosiness.
