From Iceland — Walrus In Seyðisfjörður

Walrus In Seyðisfjörður

Published July 24, 2013

A big’ole walrus has been spotted sunning itself on the rocky coast of Seyðisfjörður.
The young walrus has taken a pit stop in the eastern Iceland town while migrating, RÚV reports. He or she is small (for a walrus) and is lacking the long tusks that adults would be brandishing.
Ólafur Örn Pétursson, of the Natural and Cultural Centre of Skálanes, took some photos of the walrus, which can all be seen on RÚV.
