A group of dog owners in Ísafjörður are meeting tonight to establish a dog owners’ association for the Westfjord region, Vísir reports.
Their goal is to establish a designated dog park in the town that will be fenced off and allow owners to let their dogs off the leash. Local puppy proprieter Rolando Dia says it’s important for dogs to be able to run freely in an area where they are safe and owners are responsible.
They also plan to formally establish a company, elect board members, review the rules and regulations and make proposals on the location of the park.
The meeting will take place at 20:00 in Edinborg, Ísafjörður. All are welcome to attend.
