TAIWANESE ANIMATED NEWS PROGRAMME PERFECTLY SUMS UP ICESAVE

Published April 12, 2011

A Taiwanese animated news programme, NMA.tv, has gloriously summed up the notoriously confusing Icesave dispute using their crafty animation skills. The one-and-a-half minute report not only manages to encapsulate the Icesave fight fairly well, but also provides great context by giving a brief rundown of Iceland’s history with the UK, starting in Viking times.

NMA.tv is short for Next Media Animation, and describes itself as a “source for the best animated news.” The ‘CGI news tradition’ first made waves internationally when an animated version of the Tiger Woods scandal from Taiwanese TV went viral. NMA.tv have covered a variety of topics since setting up shop, and have even featured prominently on the Conan O’Brien show.
Bookmark NMA.tv or follow them on Facebook for ongoing news fun. For as they say: “With us, news is sexy, eye-popping and fun. Come here for a lively point of view on global politics, entertainment, sports and more!”
