Jim Jarmusch To Be Guest Of Honour At RIFF 2010

Director Jim Jarmusch will be the Guest of Honour at this year´s Reykjavík International Film Festival. According to RIFF´s press release, Jarmusch will be presented with the 2010 RIFF Honorary Creative Award by Iceland´s president, Ólafur Ragnar.
Jim Jarmusch is known for his films Broken Flowers (2005), which was awarded with the Grand Prize of the Jury at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, and Stranger Than Paradise (1984), winner of the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Some of his other films include Coffee and Cigarettes (2003) and The Limits of Control (2009).
Jarmusch will be screening three of his films at this year´s festival as well as a special film he made with his wife, You Are Not I (1981). In addition to film screenings, Jarmusch will also be holding a masterclass and a possible question and answer session.
RIFF will be taking place from September 23rd to October 3rd this year.
