Svartidauði

”All great things must first wear terrifying and monstrous masks in order to inscribe themselves on the hearts of humanity.”
As the Mayans predicted the release of Svartidauði’s debut full length, ‘Flesh Cathedral,’ came about in December 2012. Highly anticipated amongst cultists and hipsters alike, the album ranked high on ‘Top of the year’ lists in various magazines. Already infamous for their chaotic and often violent live shows in their native Iceland, Svartidauði has ventured abroad to perform at numerous festivals and mini-tours across Europe alongside many of the leading forces in the contemporary blackmetal scene. And the future is bleak as Svartidauði marches on towards the impending apocalypse.
