Retro Stefson

Following ‘Kimbabwe,’ their first release outside of Iceland, Retro Stefson are back with their third full-length, self-titled album. ‘Retro Stefson,’ released in Iceland at the end of 2012, has already reached Gold status in Iceland and has catapulted the band into newer musical territory. The album was released internationally last April and has received rave reviews. Retro Stefson are lining their pockets with handfuls of Iceland Music Awards and a Nordic Music Prize nomination. Retro Stefson have been making music since they were sixteen, which explains why a band so young has a sound so mature. Drawing influences from Iceland all the way to Angola, from Soul all the way to Heavy Metal, this septet is a force to be reckoned with. Retro Stefson might be the bridge between the dance, pop and indie worlds that has been missing in the fast and exciting world of music. In addition to their prolific recording achievements, Retro Stefson have gained fame as an extraordinary live band.
