Moses Hightower

Moses Hightower’s mellow take on 70′s blue-eyed soul first came to the attention of Icelandic listeners when their plain-spoken single ‘Búum til börn’ (“Let’s Make Babies”) received a fair amount of airplay on national radio in early 2008.
The band has since then released two 10-track albums, both to outstanding reviews and extensive airplay: ‘Búum til börn’ in July 2010, and ‘Önnur Mósebók,’ released on the Icelandic label Record Records in August 2012.
For the latter they received the Icelandic Music Awards as Songwriters of the year and Lyricists of the year, and the DV Cultural Award for Music. It was also named Album of the year by Fréttablaðið, Iceland’s most read newspaper.
