Þrándur Þórarinsson, one of Iceland’s best modern painters and the creator of some of the most iconic works of art this country has produced, is having a an exclusive showing from now until the end of the month. Called “Kiosk”, it’s located on Ingólfsstræti 6 in downtown Reykjavík and opens at 17:00 each day. His works, which are reminiscent of the great masters but tackle such contemporary topics as the Klausturgate scandal are at once delightful and disturbing, so don’t miss the chance to be able to see them up and close and in person.
