Sashimi and sushi lovers, rejoice. Your time has arrived.

Sushi Social has announced that their Tuna Festival has begun. From now through January 26th, they will be offering fresh bluefin tuna, specially caught by the Spanish company Balfego and brought straight to Iceland. What’s more, these enormous fish will be custom carved by Nobuyuki Tajiri, who is an expert in his field, right on the location. The fish shown above, for example, is weighs an astonishing 180kg, so there’s plenty to go around.

Throughout, Sushi Social will be offering a special menu centered around this tuna for the discerning palate to enjoy. And as they’re located right in the heart of downtown, at Þingholtsstræti 5, you won’t have far to go to savour the flavour, either.
