Hótel Ljósaland in northeast Iceland burned to the ground yesterday, reports RÚV.
Shortly before the fire began the police were contacted because of a man suspected of being drunk and acting “beserk” nearby.
It took six hours to put out the fire and a police investigation is underway though signs point to a party that simply went out of control.
The owner of the hotel has been arrested in connection to the crime.
