BYRTA is a new pop duo from The Faroe Islands with members Guðrið Hansdóttir and Janus Rasmussen. Guðrið is best know as a singer-songwriter and Janus is best known for his role in Icelandic electro band Bloodgroup. They met while they were both living in Reykjavík, Iceland and they started experimenting with some new songs together. The result was ‘BYRTA,’ the bands debut album released in June 2013. They have taken the Faroe Islands by storm with hit singles like ‘Loyndarmál’ and ‘Eydnan’ and are now ready to conquer Iceland!
