Icelandic artist Björk Guðmundsdóttir has removed her music  from streaming platforms in Israel, Vísir reported on September 22 citing Israeli media. According to a report by the Times of Israel, Björk’s music is unavailable on key streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music.

In an Instagram post by BDS Iceland, the action is claimed to be a part of the protest initiative No Music For Genocide, which encourages musicians to geo-block Israeli listeners from accessing their songs. Björk has previously shown support to Palestine and its cause for freedom on social media. Over 400 artists have joined the boycott, including Amyl and the Sniffers, Arca, MØ, and Primal Scream, to name a few.
