Three young British adventurers hoping to trek across Iceland have been rescued for a third time this month. It is uncertain if they will continue their journey.

RÚV reports that the three adventurers hoped to be the youngest and fastest to traverse Iceland on foot, and had also been filming a documentary about their progress along the way.

However, since their arrival on December 3, they have had to be rescued three times – once due to illness, and twice due to the difficulties of the terrain. In all cases, the adventurers called upon the Rescue Squad for assistance.

The three are very fond of Iceland, as the video above shows, and they hoped that their subsequent documentary would inspire other young people to strike out on adventures of their own. They have not decided yet if they will continue their trip to its conclusion.
