Renowned Jackass Bam Margera denies that he was behaving in a manner consistent with his reputation when he was punched in the face by rapper Gísli Palmi, amongst others.

Vísir reports that there are conflicting accounts of what exactly happened at the Secret Solstice festival last night. The altercation in question, however, was caught on video and can be seen here.

In it, rapper Gísli Palmi (in yellow, with sunglasses) can be seen throwing the first punch to Bam’s face, followed by two other punches – one to the back of his head, the other to the side of his head – from assailants unknown. On his way out the door, Bam then falls to ground.

According to witnesses on the scene, Bam was very intoxicated, and harassing two female employees for the festival who were denying him entry to the production room of the festival. This behaviour prompted the reaction of the aforementioned assailants.

By Bam’s account, he was merely trying to get in touch with one of the festival’s agents about getting paid. When he was denied entry, Bam admitted he became more insistent, but denied he harassed the employees in any way.

Bam has landed in trouble in Iceland before. In 2013, he admittedly trashed a rental car, and was subsequently arrested when he refused to pay for damages.

Bam says he will be going to the police about last night’s assault.
