The people pictured below could be members of a New Age cult. They could also very well be watching the film Jupiter Ascending in 3D. But they’re not!
As you may have heard, Iceland experienced a near total solar eclipse yesterday morning. These people are at the Blue Lagoon taking in the rare celestial event with the aid of those special glasses.
“Instead of taking a bunch of photos of the eclipse itself, I thought it would be interesting to capture the people watching it,” photographer Axel Sigurðarson says. “It was such an absurd scene with everyone wearing those glasses and the Blue Lagoon added a fun touch to the atmosphere.”
