This Week’s #GVpics: Spelunking, Scuba And Street Art

It’s that time of the week, when we have the difficult job of curating the best photos that come through the #GVpics hashtag. Y’all are so talented that it’s always hard to pick just ten, but here are our selections for this week’s cream of the crop.

The runners-up:

Not your average airplane window shot.

This makes me feel claustrophobic just looking at it. But well worth it!

Street art, black & white, reflections… Picked for its #hipness, obviously.

Whoa! Be careful down there!

Even where there are no people, there are hydro wires…

Fish ladder? Am I missing something? This one’s got an eye for some creative engineering!

It was a tough one, but the winner is… *drumroll* … @elizabethbrod!

This photo isn’t just #hip, but the photographer found a creative way to capture what could have been a boring old mural shot in the reflection of a car window. (And no, I’m not just choosing this one because I posted one of those “boring old mural shots” just a few weeks ago.) Congrats, @elizabethbrod! There’s a T-shirt and Grapevine goodie bag waiting for you at our office (or coming to you in the mail).

Thanks to all the Instagrammers who participated in this week’s contest! Keep on finding creative ways to capture Iceland’s beauty on your iPhone, and make sure to follow @RVKgrapevine and use the hashtag #GVpics to compete in next week’s competition.
