As of March 10, fans of Laufey — Laufers, if you will — can celebrate the jazz star at the new LaufeyLand pop-up store in Smáralind.
The shop primarily acts as a Laufey merchandise store with various events scheduled throughout the week, ramping up to the artist’s stadium show in Kórinn, Kópavogur, on March 14-15 as she continues her A Matter Of Time tour.
Leading up to her concert, Laufey’s presence in Iceland has steadily increased via marketing campaigns. Recently, the popular fizzy fishy energy drink Collab produced a limited edition Laufey-branded line of their product. Additionally, clothing brand 66 North released an exclusive Laufey line in celebration of the artist.
In just a few years, Laufey’s music career has skyrocketed. Her accolades include being the youngest-ever Grammy winner for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, as well as releasing the biggest jazz LP debut in the history of Spotify. She has sold out the Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall, performing with numerous orchestras and artists.
Tickets to the Kópavogur concert are almost sold out, with a few left for the Saturday show.
