This morning, we heard an announcer say on the radio, “Today is Friday. Congratulations on that.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
As always, there’s a full house of exciting and interesting events happening around this city. There’s an exhibition opening at 18:00 at Núllið Gallery (a former public WC, opposite the other former public WC that is now the Punk Museum), entitled Worms & Giants.
Jack Armitage hosts a listening party for their new album Strengjavera at Mengi tonight at 20:00. Strengjavera (“string being”) is an album where Jack used a modified grand piano and mould-informed algorithms to create sounds, which you can read all about in Jack’s interview with the Grapevine.
Sunday will be the 9th annual Vegan Festival, held in association with the town of Hafnarfjörður. It will begin at 13:00 in Thorsplan, and you can expect to find plant-based health products, vegan Hungarian and Colombian food, ice cream, fresh produce, and more!
Got an event? Add it to the calendar at events.grapevine.is, or check out what’s already happening around town.
