Skúli Mogensen, WOW Air’s former CEO, is selling his ocean villa. The property is located at Hrólfskálavör 2 in Seltjarnarnes, and is one of the most expensive residences in the country with a real estate evaluation of 261 million ISK.

Skúli purchased the property in 2016. It was initially listed as an asset of his company, Kotasæla ehf, but on June 1 last year, he transferred ownership to his own name.

In September 2018, when his company was in trouble, he bought stock in WOW Air for 750 million ISK. He used his house and his land in Hvalfjörður as collateral. The collateral for the house, which is now for sale, was 380 million ISK.

Skúli has listed his house on its own website, where he posted numerous photos of the interior. The three-story house measures a roomy 630 m2 and sits at a prime location, with both an ocean and a mountain view. Schools, stores, and services are all in walking distance.

Architects Steve Christer and Margrét Harðardóttir at Studio Grandi designed this house. The same architects designed Reykjavík City Hall, the building of the Supreme Court of Iceland and Reykjavík Art Museum Hafnarhús.
