Icelandic PM Sends Condolences To Manchester Victims

Published May 23, 2017

Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson has written a message of support to the victims of yesterday’s terrorism attack in Manchester on his Facebook Page.

The bombing took place at an Ariana Grande concert and killed 22 people, with a further 59 injured. A-23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack.

“Nothing can explain the will to attack innocent people, children, teenagers and their parents, as was so cruelly done in Manchester last night,” the PM wrote. “No words can express the extent of the consequences. The loss and the sorrow. My thoughts and sympathies are with everyone that have lost loved ones, with those who are injured, and with the British people.”
