New legislation has just raised the amount of booze you can buy from duty-free, resulting in even more combinations of purchases.

RÚV reports that the legislative change was one of many made to Iceland’s laws on taxes and fees. It should be noted that the increased quota only applies to those duty free shops in the arrivals area of the airport.

To put it in the simplest visual terms, here are the quantities you could buy from duty free under previous legislation, and the quantities you can now buy under the changes to the law:

Before:
12L of beer
9L of beer, 1L of liquor
9L of beer, 2 bottles of wine
6L of beer, 1L of wine, and 1L of liquor
6L of beer, 4 bottles of wine

After:
18L of beer
9L of beer, 3 bottles of wine
9L of beer, 0.75L of liquor
6L of beer, 1L of liquor
6L of beer, 4 bottles of wine
6 bottles of wine
1.5L of liquor
0.75L of liquor, 3 bottles of wine

Feel free to keep this list of duty free alcohol-buying combos handy the next time you visit the store upon arrival in Iceland.
