Tonight is the first semi-final in anticipation of the big Eurovision night this Saturday in Stockholm, Sweden.

RÚV reports that tonight we will know if Greta Salóme — representing Iceland — will succeed in getting through to the Eurovision 2016 finals. She will be the 16th act to grace the stage tonight, performing her song “Hear Them Calling”.

According to the website Oddschecker, the Icelandic song has a 1-in-6 chance of making it to the finals, but the site favours Russia to win, with Ukraine coming in second and France in third.

RÚV will be broadcasting the semi-finals tonight at 19:00, and if you want to feel the Icelandic excitement of Eurovision, Gaukurinn is the place to be! You can also follow Eurovision on Twitter, if you prefer, through the hashtag #12stig.
