Icelanders have pitched tents over the chance to buy shoes released by Kanye West, camping out two days in advance for the opportunity.

The store Húrra Reykjavík recently announced they would begin sales of Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost 350 shoes today – on a first come, first served basis. Some Icelanders were so excited about having the chance to spend 34,900 ISK on the shoes that they have camped out in front of the store.

The shoes are reportedly only being released in limited quantities around the world. How many pairs arrived for retail sale in Iceland is unknown.

Vísir reports that previous shoes from Kanye are today fetching some hard to believe prices. One pair of Yeezy shoes are reportedly going for $1,500 USD on eBay.

Sales have just begun at the time of this writing. Those currently at work and hoping to get a pair of Yeezys may be out of luck by the time the day ends – although it may turn out that the market for 34,900 ISK shoes in Iceland has been overestimated.
