Light Festival To Launch In Seyðisfjörður, Open Call To Artists

Published December 22, 2015

The culturally vibrant town of Seyðisfjörður in east Iceland will be illuminated by a new small festival in 2016.

On February 19 and 20, the darkness of the winter will be lit up by List í Ljósi, a celebration of light art. On the 19th, there’ll be a light art symposium, and on the 20th, a light art trail.

The festival promises a family friendly selection of “curated artworks by international and local artists, ranging from installations, projections and performances to large-scale immersive experiences.”

Those interested in participating can see the artist brief or get further details about applying on their website, here and follow the festival on Facebook here. The festival is open for submission of ideas until January 15.
