Earlier today, Reykjavík Mayor-slash-Star Wars fan Dagur B. Eggertsson officially named a street “Darth Vader,” in honour of the beloved space opera. Yup, update your address-books everyone, Höfði district street Bratthöfði will henceforth be known as Svarthöfði, the Icelandic moniker for Darth Vader.

The change was made following the suggestion of self-described nerd Óli Gneisti Sóleyarson, who in 2013 posted his idea to the city’s experimental e-democracy website, Betri Reykjavík.

As the new road sign was installed, Óli (who recently published a game called #Kommentakerfið) donned a Darth Vader helmet. Wouldn’t you have?
