The Meteorological Office has warned of a snow storm in the northwest of Iceland and south Iceland this morning, reports Vísir.

In fact, the Met Office predicts stormy winter weather all week.

On Tuesday winds of up to 15-23 metres per second and hail storms are predicted in the north. On Wednesday there will be frost and winds with considerable snow and sleet in the evening throughout the country. On Thursday there will be another snow storm in the southwest and snow in the northwest. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will see hail in the north and bright but cold weather in the south.
