Following Slovakian journalist Juraj Kušnierik’s untimely death last week, a number of performers are putting on a remembrance concert.

Juraj had been a long-time supporter of Icelandic music, leaving behind a legacy of articles, the book Hudba Ostrova and short film Reykjavík Revisited about the scene. He was also one of the main organisers behind the Pohoda music festival, and had brought many Icelandic bands to perform there.

Juraj was at Iceland Airwaves when he suffered a heart attack. He passed away on November 13.

A number of performers are putting on a remembrance concert at Húrra. The show starts at 20:00, and the lineup is as follows:

Bogomil Font og Flís
Kippi Kaninus
Milkywhale
Sin Fang
Sóley
FM Belfast DJ set
Ghostigital DJ set

Admission is 2,000 ISK. All of the proceeds go to Juraj’s family. Sign up to the event on Facebook.
