The Police department in Suðurnes have rescued an owl, injured after becoming stuck in a fence, reports Vísir.

The owl was found by some people walking their dogs who, upon closer inspection, realised the bird’s wings were quite badly hurt.

The police have confirmed that the owl is now safely in “animal police custody” and on route to a veterinarian in the capital city for proper treatment.
