Iceland Airwaves will go on tour to some of the country’s more far flung regions this week. DJ flugvél og geimskip, Emmsjé Gauti and Agent Fresco will hit the road from a string of dates that take them to the tiny towns of Bolungarvík, Grenivík, Raufarhöfn, Breiðdalsvík and, finally, Keflavík.
The three bands represent three very different strands of Icelandic music. DJ flugvél og geimskip’s eccentric alt-pop is both charming and mind-bending, and comes with a DIY light show; Emmsjé Gauti is one of the top Icelandic rappers, and plays with a powerful live band; Agent Fresco are an ever-popular staple of Iceland’s rock scene, and share their drummer with Gauti.

June 10 Bolungarvík – Félagsheimilið
June 11 Grenivík – Grenivíkurskóli
June 12 Raufarhöfn – Félagsheimilið Hnitbjörg
June 13 Breiðdalsvík – Frystihúsið
June 14 Reykjanesbær – Hljómahöllin
