Iceland Airwaves continue to tease us by trickle-feeding out lineup announcements. The big news this time is that the wonderful dream-pop band Beach House are coming back, having played at Reykjavík Art Museum a couple of years back.
Also added are the awesome rapid-fire experimental rock band Battles, Manchester post-punk/hip-hop duo Sleaford Mods, UK rapper Skepta, and perhaps most interestingly, two beacons of the UK’s burgeoning PC Music scene: SOPHIE, also seen recently at Sónar Reykjavík, and the Icelandic debut of his collaborative project QT.
The festival happens 4-8th November, and tickets are still available for 19,900 ISK from the Iceland Airwaves website.
These bands join previously-announced acts like Björk, Ariel Pink, Hinds, Perfume Genius, Father John Misty, East India Youth, John Grant, M-Band and DJ flugvél og geimskip on the lineup.
