Icelandic Musicians Unite For Gaza Charity Album

Nineteen Icelandic bands and artists have donated tracks to a new compilation from the Iceland-Palestine Association. Entitled Fyrir Gaza (“For Gaza”), the album features tracks from some of Iceland’s most notable acts, such as GusGus, Sin Fang, Ólafur Arnalds and Mugison, with all the proceeds going to the Association for Women & Child Protection (AISHA).

The album is expected in stores this Wednesday, just in time for the holidays, and includes tracks from the following:

  • Ojba rasta
  • Sin Fang

  • Moses Hightower
  • Samaris
  • Mugison

A launch party for Fyrir Gaza will be held on Saturday November 29 at Kex Hostel and starts at 16:00 pm. Entrance is free and Cell 7, Sóley and Uni Stefson will perform.

AISHA Association for Women and Child Protection is an independent organisation of Palestinian women working to achieve gender integration through economic empowerment and psychosocial support for marginalised groups in the Gaza Strip.
