Jón Gnarr Moving To Houston, Texas

Accepted Artist Residency At Rice University

Jón Gnarr, comedian, author and former Mayor of Reykjavík, has announced his, and his family’s, plans to relocate to Houston, Texas.

According to Kjarninn, Jón has accepted an invitation to an artist residency at Rice University’s Center for Energy & Environmental Research in the Human Sciences (CENHS). Reportedly, the family intends to stay in Houston at least until the end of spring term 2015.

Jón announced the plans on Facebook on Sunday. The announcement has been covered widely in Icelandic media since. “I think this might be the beginning of a very interesting adventure,” concluded Jón’s note.
