According to the latest Seafood Intelligence report for Icelandic cod, sales to Spain were 44,820 metric tonnes, compared to 31,365 tonnes over the same period in 2013. Prices also increased year-on-year by roughly 2%.

Meanwhile, sales to the next three largest markets, the UK, France and the US, all declined. Sales to the UK are down 5.94%, France down by 8.84%,  the US down 0.13%. In all, Spain, France and the UK represent nearly 64% of Iceland’s total fish exports.
