Icelandic Twitter users have begun using the hashtag #lögguvaktin to monitor the police and inform other twitter users where police have set up speed traps.

To start with the hashtag was limited to sightings on Reykjanesbraut (Route 41) and the Southern Peninsula but the usage has spread and now daily sightings and pictures are being tweeted.
