Elementary School Teachers signed a new collective bargaining agreement last night, ending a long and strained negotiation, reports RÚV

Elementary schools will therefore reopen this morning and lessons will resume at the usual time.

As reported, Elementary School Teachers went on strike May 15 and had planned a second day of strike today, then a third on May 27 should an agreement not come to pass.

Details of the agreement have not been made available yet though an increase in pay has been confirmed.
