A Florida man was arrested and charged with a hit and run after sideswiping a motorcyclist, turns out, he is Icelandic, reports CBS. 

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a hit and run on Sunday afternoon and found that a motorcyclist and his passenger had been injured after a man driving a Hyundai Elantra sideswiped them. The pair fell off their bike causing road rash and broken bones.  

A witness said the man driving the Elantra – white, blonde, mid-20’s – swerved out of his lane, knocking the riders to the ground. 

As is so often the case, the suspect was tracked down via his license plate number and arrested. 

There it was discovered that he is in fact a native of Iceland.
