Police arrested a naked man who stopped traffic and climbed onto a person’s car roof in Reykjavík yesterday, reports Vísir.

A video of the arrest can be seen on Vísir.

“We had just left the Hringbraut roundabout and there was a naked man in the middle of the road, he walks up then climbs on my car and starts bouncing on the roof.” said car owner Hafdís Ólafsdóttir. “We called the police right away. Pedestrians were on high alert and one man came up to tell  us to lock our car doors, which we did.”

Police arrived at the scene within five minutes but as they approached the naked man attempted to strike them with the car’s radio antenna which he had torn off. The police used pepper spray to overpower the naked man and walked him to the police van.
